Fished the 2nd and 3rd islands on Saturday in search of flounder. Boat traffic was pretty thick but most people were courteous with one another. of course there are always the exceptions but it was good overall.

My buddy and I caught 8 fish with 2 being keepers (21.75" and 22"). We were using squid/minnow and cut bait.

Sounds like you did better than most, can't wait to get back down next weekend, its been too long! Good job!

Fished saturday at 36a and plantation light. Caught nothing just above 36a. Moved down in front of 36a and caught quite a few throwbacks and 2 keepers. 19 1/2 and 21 1/2. Moved down to plantation light when the bite slowed and tried in front of the light. No flounder but, something grabbed my bait and took off like race car! I set the hook but, I had the drag set to tight and it locked up. I don't know what it was, cobia or drum probably. Then we moved over to BRR. Picked up two more throwbacks and decided to call it a day. Don't know where I will try next weekend. Either back around 36a or the 3rd and 4th islands.

Tried out Hampton Bar on Saturday morning. Drifting west to east about in line with the red day markers about 20-30 feet of water. Two of us caught about 16 flounder including 6 keepers(all 18.5-19.5 inches). Threw back 4 in the 17-18" range. They seemed to be bighting everything -- cut bait (white perch, mullet, ribbon fish, squid)and live mullet, but wouln't touch live perch (couldn't catch any spot). Not much action outside this depth, especially deeper near the channel edge. Our best founder day yet.
