Mega Bite

When I arrived (3:45 am ) at The fishing center the airhorn that is on the Rudee buoys were howling I knew I was in for a long day.Our passengers arrived on time so we departed on schedule.I let the Sea Gods steer me to the Cigar going north would have been like Victory At Sea.Once we got about 20 miles out the Swell spread out a bit for a smoother ride.I decided to put in at the north end at about 18 fathoms there was scattered grass and Flying fish everywhere the temp was 74.1 so I figured the Tuna might not be far away.We had a FA right off the bat. Then about 10 min. later we had double Knock downs one came tight it was a schoolie.I could see Dolphin everywhere but it was a bit snotty to stop and Bail so we trolled the same area most of the day.We did get 1 45 lb YFT and another Gaffer Dolphin but then the bite slowed down. There was a USCG Bouy tender on the weather Buoy most of the day I guess they were giving her a bath a paint job and an electronics update. We had a Spanish Mackerel Daisy chain out in case Mr. Blue was snacking on the Dolphin but no takers. We got lasered 3 times by wahoo the final tally was 12 knockdowns and 5 fish.
