Departed the inlet at 4 am to flat calm seas. Bright moonlight and stars with no clouds made for unlimited night visability. Not a breath of wind enabled me to run 35 knots or better all the way to the canyon. Water was ugly green 72 degrees until the tip of the canyon where we found a hard edge of pure blue stream water going to 75 degrees. Birds and bait going off like blue planet on top so lines in. Ten minutes of trolling, on the cold side of the break, a quadrupil hit of bigeyes and the fight was on. After 45 minutes, 4, 150 class bigeyes in the box. Clear the chaos, lines back out, immediately 5 lines go down. We go 4 for 5 on 60 lb class of YFT. Put the spread back out and we are covered up in longfins. Put 7 in the box. Now it's 7:30 am and we are out of fish box space. So we pick up and run home back at the docks by 9:30 am with enough meat to feed an Army.
