Got a last minute call last nite for an all day inshore trip.We planned on fishing the Tower for C Jacks but they werent really hitting well because they got hammered on Wedensday. We Trolled around the Tower area the rest of the Day and Caught a bunch of fish. 6 King Mackerel,10 nice Spanish,6 Bonita Mackerel ,7 False Albecore, 1 Barracuda. One passenger was reeling in a fat albert and a Barracuda Bit it in half it exploded at the surface it was a huge barracuda the albert was about 15 lbs. The passengers gave us all the fish, Mike Standing" Waterman" is going to smoke the Kings for me in his smokehouse I cant wait to get them on my dinner table in a few days.Today kind of made up for the 100lb+ Cobia I lost on Monday after a 2 Hour fight.

Man, what a heart breaker on the cobia! I would be just sick. Nice job on the mixed bag, though.

Great job Keith. We saw some big bait balls on the way in Wednesday and a real clear color break about 12 miles out...looked like king mackerel highway.
Tom...nice JC..congrats!!

Nice day at the tower... sorry to hear about losing the COW. Ain't nothing worse than losing a fish (I think I''d rather not hook'em at all, than hook'em and lose'em).

Sounds like a great trip with a surprising variety of species caught. Did you catch them all the same way? If you were trolling what were you using?

I had a blast fighting that Cobia you put some in the box and miss some thats fishing. It was a good 10 inches longer than my 88 lber its tail was huge.I hope I see it next year if it makes it back through the gauntlet of fisherman up the coast next season.
