Just got back @ 8:30. was working as usual on Friday, getting ready to go onto Fort Story Base. (it's 12:30) Got a call from a fishing bud and says they are heading to Morehead city, ( I have heard of some of their nice trips down there).
So by 4:00 I am in Edenton NC at his house and we are heading South.
We caught 4 HOO in the 30Lb range, and 1 King Mac that went 20+ Saterday.
We got up Sunday and caught some bait and fished for Kings. We got 3, in the 20Lb range.
Fun Weekend, Great weather. good fishing, learned alot.

Nice trip Jack! Locally, the Kings have been found off of Sandbridge and down towards False Cape. Live Menhaden have been the bait of choice but a few were caught on the troll with lures or lure/bait. Many reported in the 10-15 lbs range but a few 20#+ also.

Hey Todd, we went due south out of Beauford Inlet, 57 miles. I believe the nearby charter fleet went there too. there was a bunch of boats working there.

Heard of one boat that limited out on Hoo, and another that had a 70lber in the boat.
We were burnt by a boat we had a $150 bet with for biggest fish. thay pulled out a 49lber out of there bag.(was a nice fish)
