It doesent look that great to me.You must be in a 40 footer. 3 to 5 foot could easily go to 5 to 6.Then youll have it in your face the whole way home. I hope it gets better after this severe T Storm rolls through tonight.Sunday they are calling for 5 to 7.

Hatteras (Teaches Lair) report From Today

March 22, 2005

- Tuna Bite is Hot, Hot Hot!

Three of our Charters fished offshore today and truly could not have had a better day. The Yellowfin Tuna bite was amazing. Godspeed caught their LIMIT of Yellowfin in an hour! It did have something to do with luck but odds are, if you were out there today, you were catching them! Click the link to see all three catch photos.

offshore looks better than inshore........shame you have to go across that first 20 mile b4 you start fishing.......in hatteras your inside the 20 all day......
Mega Bite
I think they go out about 30 miles or so this time of year.
Marlin Maniac
You are right Mega Bite, the fish are out about 30 miles on the south side of Cape Point. Reelguy keeps copying the wrong weather report, too far north and too close to shore. I'm not on a 40 footer, but this time of year you gotta take what you can get. She'll be slick calm in August, but the tuna will be in Maine. We'll run towards the southern so the ride back in won't beat us up too bad. I'll let you all know what we get.

I went to Oregon Inlet this morning and got the scoop from a couple of Mates. As soon as the weather looks good enough I will be out there.
