I am looking for the list if any of special regulations governing boating, fishing and anchoring in Lynnhaven inlet and around the Lesner bridge. I appreciate any help you can provide on this subject. Thanks Melvin

Go to www.vbgov.org and search regulatios.
You can start with these:
VB City Ordanance# 6-81-6-105 Article V. Boating Sking, and Surfing
VB City Ordanance# 6-28 Fishing Rules for Lynnhaven & Rudee Inlets

be concerned with vb stuff from shore...bridges and channels while underway are clearly federal. local authorities may have a vox but feds have the say! don't tie to bridge and don't block channel period and you should be good. fyi....drifting the channel is a bad idea as well. the pilot boats have to haul ass to counteract the current when they come and go....if you are in there way you better be able to swim for your ass's sake and you better have insurance for your wallet's sake!

Check the regs. It is illegal to fish and/or anchor in the turning basin area of Lynnhaven inlet. This is the area directly south of the Lesner bridge. Even if you are passing thru the inlet and throw a line you can get a ticket. I received a ticket in this area. I wrote my council member and they posted signs at the local boat ramps explaining the regs. It is legal to fish and anchor on the northside of the bridge. Not sure about the surf regs.
