Too many L's on the weather map, We need more H's. Hope these cold nights coming up are going to start that tuna bite!

The nice "H" season is gone, my man. From here on in - it's the "L" season. Then it's going to be the really deep "L" season and the high wind "H" season. Any fishing that is going to get done - is going to be between those L's. Those day's can be good fishing, but as we move on to Nov, calm days are going to be harder to find.

And 9 times out of 10, those calm days wont fall on a weekend.

From now to the end of the year, any day is fair game for me, wether its offshore or rockfishing, this is when I take most of my vacation time, of course it helps when you are self employed.

I think it's like Bob said. If you can find a day or two that lays down I think you can probably get some good tunas in Nov., but I think as far as any regular weekend stuff -better start planning for OBX - spring of '08

being self employed does help,and that i am.however i fish a small boat so my weather window is very important. when i do go im always looking to buddy up with someone,safty in numbers! if any of you plan on going (WX Permitting )once the tuna show , i would be game to buddy up with someone. usually start around the fingers and work my way east.have had some really good luck there this summer from whites all the way up to some 60LB yellow fin,and my first two wahoo ever.weather permitting , i'm game! thank you.

Good one! I hope the sea witches become candy for something.

I don't have any of the info you guys get, however, I can tell you the air out there is cold tonight boys...... And, don't quote me on this, but the wind looks like it's blowing North/North West... Not sure though... I'm in Chesapeake VA(Great Bridge/Hickory area), and it's strictly a guess.... I live in a suburban neighborhood, and I was just guessing the winds by the trees in my back yard..... I'd really like to know where you guys get the detailed weather from that has the water temp. and everything else listed.... Especially since I'm heading out on 11/4..
