Ok, I read this fourm just about everyday. I need your help on a couple of things, first I am going this Sunday on the Tuna chunking trip. I have a Penn 50 TW for the tuna, but my first question is, I have a Penn 45GLS spooled with 30lbs Ande on a star 6 foot stand up, if we stop for the tile fish will this rod and reel be enough for the tiles? Ok for my second question, I would like to know if there is a bait and tackel shop near Rudy inlet?, I remember one around 17th street near the ocean front. Once again I really enjoy this board and I am sure my questions will be answered. Thanking everyone in advance, Clyde, aka (Makoman2) tight lines.... food-smiley-004.gif

The tackle shop you are referring to is Princess Anne Distributors. Check with them in advance regarding their hours of operation. They might not be open on Sundays and if they are they might not be open early enough for your needs.
BOBBYW
they are closed on sunday.

Sounds like your set ups will work fine.. When we stopped for Tilefish on the 14th we were in just over 300 foot of water.... Just over 600 foot of water where we anchored for the night.... I'd invest the extra 20 dollars for a rental... With that 20 dollars you can use the 4/0 rigs they have for tile fish, and the 6/0 senators they have for tuna/swordfish....... I'll see you on the boat this weekend... I'm going back out on the fourth as well......

My son and I are scheduled for the Nov 4th trip . With the weather picture as it is, when do you think the Capt. will make a decision to" go or no go" and is there a phone # that can be called to determine the status? One other question "If you rent rods and reel, will the Capt supply hooks and sinkers? Thanks.
Fish Dad
If Noel tracks our way, this will certainly screw up our weekend fishing.

Hope they don't cancel this trip.. They'll provide hooks, sinkers, bait, etc.. Just bring yourself.. I would recommend renting poles, but that's entirely up to you.. I'm sure Captain Skip, or somebody will call you if they cancel this weekend.. You can always check it out on www.rudeeinletcharters.com.. Hope to see you out there, and I hope those tuna show up..... When I went on 10/14 it was way too early I think..... Don't forget to find me out there!!!! See you boys Sunday.... I'm gonna try to get there early this time..

I must tell you--Rudee Fishing is an outstanding group of people, and I will do everything in my power to help them in the future.

My son nd I spent two days getting ready for the 11/4 trip. I knew that my grandaughters had a bad case of flu last week, but it didn't dawn on me that I would be next. Saturday PM my temp went up, a horrible sore throaght, lot of coughing. Overall, a full blown case of flu. It was impossible to take the trip, so I called at 8am today. The folks were just wonderful, and rescheduled us for nov 11.

You couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Thanks.
