Fished the pilons just north of the 4th. 7:30 pm to midnight. Current moving out in a hurry all night. Went through plenty of eels and tackle. All fish landed were between 30 and 33 inches. All were released. Beautiful night. No meat.

My son and I fished on his boat Fin Stoked from 4pm to 11pm from the first halfway to the third and could not come up with much. Had about 16 small ones between us and most came from the small boat channel around 10pm.

We are ready to give up until they come to the ocean.

HOW BIG WERE THE EELS? THAT PLACE THAT WILL NOT BE NAMED ON NORTH HAMPTION HAV VERY LARGE EELS $20.99 A DOZEN. THE EELS WE HAD I DONT
THINK A 33 INCH FISH COULD GET IT DOWN

You'd be surprised at the size of some of the eels I,ve found in the belly of medium size rocks over the years, before the slot limit of couse. But generally I think a medium size eel will catch a medium size fish and a larger eel will drown unless a bigger fish snatches him up.
