Took my dad out on the Ocean Princess out of OC on sunday. The boat doesn't usually sail unless 10 people show up. We only had 7, but the captain wanted to fishing, so we went! We had steady tog action all day. My dad and I both got our limit (I think the whole boat got their limit), plus threw back 5 or 6 keepers each. We also got a handfull of seabass and a triggerfish. I didn't see any real big ones. Most fish were 16-20". On the way in we stopped to jig under diving birds, but the fished moved out too quick. I really appreciate the captains decision to go. It was a great day on the water.

They had green crabs and clam. We caught all ours on crab. We fished the reefs about 8 or 9 miles out. If you're doing it on your own, Ake Marine has a good list of gps numbers. You can also get the OC Reef Foundation Chart for a $25 donation at most local tackle shops.

If you go this weekend, remember that tautog are closed in December in Maryland. If you want bigger Seabass go to the wrecks further out. The big ones move out faster in the fall. You might try the Twin Wrecks area or the San Gil. Good luck.
