Slooow ... Put in at Harbor Park and headed out to the bridge and fished the curve on the 1st of the outgoing using bunker and caught 1 - 16" , kept watching the boats around me and never saw a fish pulled in. Had a couple of newbies on the boat so I was reluctant to troll so I tried some bottom bouncing 6" storms and both guys almost got spooled in my prop. Gave that up and went down towards the small boat channel and anchored using bunker again and had 2 hits then a troller came by too close and hooked in my anchor line ! He cut it and we decided to try storms again because of a couple guys came by said they had just caught a few like that. I just got started when I saw to guys in a small aluminum boat waving a red flag/shirt so we pulled up and headed over to them. Engine wouldn't start so I towed them back to Bennetts creek.By the time we got back to the mmbt it was dark so I headed on back to the ramp. The one thing that got me was there was a boat on the same side of the bridge not too far from where the guys were broke down and I was over on the other side of the bridge and these guys were anchored and facing these 2 waving a red flag and didn't help ? I know they saw these guys !? Oh well i'm glad were not all like that. Half way into Bennets a newport news rescue boat came over and stopped us and asked if these were the guys waving the flag because they had recv'd alot of calls and asked if we were okay towing them and I said yea no problem I got em.Still got out of the house for the day so it was all good.

There are people out there like that every day,most people dont do the right thing!!!I'm sure those folks where very thankful.

Was out there on Sunday and I didn't see anyone waving a red flag or I would have helped them out. On a brighter note did manage to catch 3 keepers. 2-20 in and 1 24 in.

Yea they were nice guys and very thankful and said they were sorry for using up the last 2 hours of daylight.They tried to fill my tank up for towing them but I said I was fine and have a good night.

3 keepers ! Wooo hooo glad ya got a couple because it was tough fishing yesterday for us anyways. These guys were in a small alum. boat by the small boat channel. I wasn't trying to be negative I just can't see someone so close to someone in distress and not going over to see what the problem was heck maybe he just started waving the flag and I saw him 1st. Were ya bouncing storms when ya caught the 3 ?

Actually we were chunking menhadden. One of these days I am going to try the storms, but we usually limit out with the menhadden.
