We left lynhaven about 9:40 Sunday morning and headed for tht 3 rd island. Pulled into the pilings about a mile before the third island. The tide was almost slack. We put a couple of eels in the water with a 1 ounce sinker. We caught a 40 incher in about 10 minutes, then a couple slot fish, then finished up with a 38". Nice day on the water. Looked like everyone and his brother were out there. This is the first time I fished with eels. headed home at 2:30

Nice, it was jammed out there. That's right about where we caught our limit casting to the pilings. Ebb tide though.

nice job with those eels. we got on the water around 10:30ish, tried at jetty for specks nada, moved to the first for stripers casting 15" TO 20" fish released all went to the 4th for togs 1 keeper and about 5 shorts. just as we were givingup on our togs, we were pulling anchor and dozens and dozens of boats start heading to high rise, turns out some jerk was on the radio saying 36" stripers all you want at high rise look for birds. gave it a shot nada trolled and drifted eels nada. started to get late for us so we start casting to rocks at 4th and 3rd to put some fish in box 3 keepers and more shorts. tried fishing for a little bit of everything hadn't been out in a while. maybe this weekend.
