well...steady and I hit the water about 1130 or so....we ran north a bit and put a spread out....we finally figured out that 6 knots with sea witches, islanders, spreader bars and Penn International 80's wouldn't work so we put some Penn 6/0, TLD 25's and a few other odds and ends out. We trolled for a couple of hours and finally got hooked up to one of them there stripper fish. First one of the season and only one of the day. Water was 52 and nice....Entertainment provided on Channel 68 by Fatbeard and about 300 of his friends....Congrats to Jeff and CIRWIN for a great day at the high rise....we fished ocean side of Smith Island....Bob

Good times today fo shizzle. Bob yelled at me today and hurt my feelings. "get the net....put it in neutral........turn the wheel."

Bob is much nicer past 50 fathoms and when he is on the wheel. Damn boat drivers!

Nice finally putting a face with a name Trax. Striper season has arrived.
FullThrottle
Congrats Bob. Nice lookin fish.

I'm not used to seeing Still Think'n with stripers in it...pretty workl fellas!!! Wish I could have been there just to hear the radio chatter with Fatbeard.

Steady, are you saying Bob is like "50 fathom Don" inshore!?!? It could be from his close proximity to the bay..."Bay Bob" biggrin.gif

Jeff...the monkey thing... you ain't right my brother LMAO!!!

Nice work Bob and Steady, way to stick to your guns and put a nice fish in the boat. A guy at the dock said he heard there was a bite up 20 miles north of the Cape Charles Light. Won't be long now.
bobdu11
Oh yea...there was a bite up north of where we were....we figured that out as the 20 or more MD boats came past us heading back south....as well as two or three charter boys....it was just too late to run up that far when we figured it out...There were fish where we were just not concentrated yet....scattered around....lots of blue fish mixed in with the stripers....I'm gonna say at least another week may be two before it's on oceanside...but it sure is nice trolling by yourself !....Bob
