Hey guys i have a couple of friends coming down from PA this weekend(FRI. and SUN) and im hoping to put them on some stripers. I can use all the advice that everyone can give me. Im thinking about going to the high rise with some eels but i dont know exactly where to go and when(tide?, night?) to fish for them. Is early morning a better time? If I decide to troll what should i use. Thanks

i would just stay at the 1st 2nd third and find the birds also in the light line they stack up pretty good. also another good spot is the hampton roads bridge tunnel. i used to fish there at night and tear them up not many huge ones but fun fishing. i used about 6 inch storm shads any color mainly the red and whites ones and also gotcha plugs work great

If you want to fish during the day head over to the highrise start trolling if you mark lots of fish with no takers get back on them and drop eels down at the same depth after 5min no hits move on. Take storms for throwing to beehives. At night run down the bridge till you mark fish tie up very the depth with eels menhadden and shad. A lot of time the highrise is a good starting point then work your way back hitting the 4th then 3rd and so on. good luck!

Thanks guys. Just wondering what everyone is using when they are trolling. I have a few stretch 25s. Is one color better than another? If fishing at the high rise do you suggest anchoring up or drifting. Does anyone use menhaden oil?

ST 25 IS OK GET SOME UMBRILLA RIGS AND RUN THEM ON A MOJO OFF OF A 3WAY ABOUT 5 FEET ABOVE THE MOJO. CHARTRUCE OR WHITE. DAISY CHAINS ALSO WORK WELL. RUN YOUR STREACH 25 ON A 3WAY WITH A STORM OR OTHER STICK BAIT BACK 8 TO 10 FEET.
