Dr. Guy Harvey is one of the most popular marine artist of all time. He is also a scientist, diver, photographer, television personality, author, angler, educator, and conservationist. He spends much of his time supporting fisheries research. In 2006, he visited Virginia for an art show and auction to support the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. It was a tremendous success. Dr. Harvey has been gracious enough to agree to a return appearance. This will be a two day event held at the Gloucester Campus of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. April 25, 2008 will feature Dr. Harvey narrating some of his video footage. The video he has filmed of fish feeding in the wild is truly amazing. Watching it will make you a better angler. His artwork will be on display for purchase and there will be copies of his books and some of his famous t-shirts. Guy will be available for autographs. This event is free and open to the public.
On April 26th, there will be a dinner along with a silent and live auction. The Guy Harvey art show will continue. Tickets for this event will be $100 per person.
