[/quote]two places in Wanchese one on the right hand side as you are going into Wanchese its just a fenced in yard but cheap. and talk to Theresa at Broadcreek marina in the industrial park in Wanchese my Regulator is their now and its easy access and safe and a six mile run to the sea buoy very well marked. Conch,
I'm thinking about going to Pirate's Cove for April/May and June.
How is that run from Wanchese through the Inlet? Every time I fish with my buddy out of Pirate's Cove -we are weaving, turning, going through the "crack" -all kinds of stuff--it seems awfully complicated. Is it that bad or is it just my imagination? How does it compare with getting from Teach's Lair to the Hatteras Inlet?
thanks
Kent

The run from PC to the inlet is definetely not direct but once you learn it is not too bad they were dredging in front of Wanchese industrial park all of last spring and summer and you really had to pay attention and slowwww down but i beleive they are finished i will let you know next tuesday i am doing my first offshore trip of the year this coming Sunday and Monday and i will be staying at Pirates Saturday night so we were just going to bring the boat in by water and dock up at slip 126 on the canal now this does get a little tricky as i cannot get under the PC canal bridge so i go around the point and come in on the back side facing shallowbag bay on the Manteo side. As far as comparing to Teachs to HI i find HI to be very soothing to the soul at first light it doesnt get much prettier right before sun up and oh so easy to navigate. Conch.
