Whats up guys and Gals. I have been inshore fishing for awhile and I love it, but I am ready to go after the big boys know. So with that said when is the best time to pay the money and go get that charter to take me out there. I hear April and May are some of the best tuna and marlin time. Any info would be greatly appreciated and also some good captains info would be nice. Thanks to all and Tight Lines.

I would recomend Jay on the Bite Me also if you're going to Hatteras.
I definately second Jay on Bite Me. He is one of the best on the Billfish, but all the way to Hatteras to get there. I have always done good on YFT, Mahi meat fishing around first of May being peak. It's all in what your targeting. The Wahoo and Billfish will peak later.
That would be peak time if going out of hatteras. Then June out of OI.
If going out of VB I would say July and give keith a call and head out on the Mega Bite one of our Board sponsors and a great captain.

Jay is one of my good buddies. He is top 3 in billfish releases from charter boats every year out of HI. He will put you on fish and you'll have a great time.
In Virginia Beach I would have to say July for Yellowfin and September for Billfish other months are good but I am talking about their peak times.

That's good info. Some of us will run out of OI in early June and still have dates available. We move back up to Rudee mid-June. Maga Bite puts on a great charter as well...check out the Charter Links on VBSF also.

You should try an overniter call Capt Scott Warren( HI )runs the Big Tahuna, Dolphin, Marlin Capt Jim Bowman( HI )runs marlin mania both of them are are at Teachs Lair.
