Can you get FM offshore or do you need Sat radio
G Spot
My little antenna is pretty much useless outside 50nm or so from nearest land. I installed a Stereo with a input jack for a MP3 for use offshore. I also have the adapter so that I can run my Sirus through it that I use in my truck. It really helps pass the time on those long transits to the canyon and back. The fish seem to dig the tunes too.

how do you get to run the sirius through your truck

Owen,
you can get a receiver ,suscribe and run it as simple as a cigarette adapter power source and tuning your fm radio to a certain frecuency. I have it in my house ,truck , and boat.

Todd, we use the cassette adaptor in my truck, Its a much cleaner way of picking up sirus. you can get one from sirus $9.99, or circuit city,$24.

yes satellite radio offshore is the way to go......enjoyed it while on board the black pearl. 100+ channels is nice when your 60 miles from land.

I have never had a problem getting FM offshore with a standard auto antenna. However, all you need is an old Jimmy Buffet CD, the one in my player has not been out in three years, it just always seems like the right music. Of course, a little GNR to start the day never hurt anyone either!!
