Ran out of Little Creek 0700. Passed alot of birds, bait, and fishy marks on the ride to Cape Henry. Fished Cape Henry, Green Can, 2C, and CBJ marking some patches of fish but no takers. It started to feel like last saturday, so I ran south to Sandbridge and worked 2 1/2 to 3 mile line with about 10 other boats, and saw way less on the screen then at Cape Henry and caught nothing there. There was obviously a pretty good C/R bight about 5 miles offshore of Sandbride by the bluefish fishermen talk on the radio. I could see a fleet of boats on the horison and at least 20 boats running in while I was there. Decided to go back to Cape Henry since I was marking better there. I Found bait and fish marks near the bay line and hugged it for a while. Managed 1 keeper and three throwbacks. Word on the radio was those fish I passed at Lynhaven area where 30 tp 38 inch fish, with Gannets, Gulls and Pelicans. Another friend of mine stopped and worked the birds at the mouth of Little Creek Inlet and said Nice fish about every cast. There is appearently alot of fish holding in the bay, but don't want to cross the line. Maby they are getting smart like Deer. When hunting season opens they hang out on the roads cause they think they are safe. The Striper had 3 freshly eaten menhaden about 7 inches long in its belly.

BUT AS FOR THE BAY, THEY CAUGHT MANY FISH & AT LEAST 1 RELEAST CITATION OF 47" AT THE FOURTH ISLAND(TROLLING). HOPEFULLY THESE FISH WILL MOVE TO THE OCEAN SOON. THANKS FOR THE ABOVE REPORT. The school of big (6-8") menhaden by Little Creek Stretcherd from the CBBT all the way down past the Little Creek Inlet to Ocean View Beach and there where striper feeding on them. I pray those Menhadden Boats don't get em. They should be moving towards Cape Henry and Fire up the Striper fishing. The Catch and Release bite in the bay has been good, we just need to get them over the line so we can keep them.
