Went out today from OC at about 9:30 ( parking lot and overflow full ). Marked a lot of something, fish or bait, off the golf ball. Heard a lot of negative on the radio. Not just no fish but also the two guys who got into it over one of them using some really inappropriate f word language on open radio. Such a holes out there in that regard. To make a long story short, we were skunked but did talk to some guys dockside in Rudee who went to Carolla, 39 miles south and came back with big fish, said they could have used anything, the fish were hungry. Maybe as the water warms they'll track back north to Va Bch.

Thanks for the report. The fights on the radio are normal when nobody's catching fish. It's kind of funny. No fish, so let's cuss and fight on the radio. Like little kids who have no toy's and are bored!!!! So let's fight instead. I agree on the fish down south. Hope they come north. or i heard the fish are still in the bay. Hope they come out to play soon.
Knot Too Fast
Heard all the fussing on the radio as well. My son and I left LC at 0715 and ran into birds outside the Jetties so we stopped for some C&R....Nothing. After about 15 min, we headed out to the CH and ran into a ton of birds (alright...it's on). Drop the spread and get ready for the slaughter to begin...chirp...chirp...chirp for the next couple of hours. We tried CH to Green can out to the 3 mile line then south to Ramada and Rudee with nothing to show for it. We did hear of an early bite (not sure how true it was) at 4A and further north on the E. Shore. Out of desperation to get pullage, I threw some shallow stuff at em and hooked a 23 in fish with a S15 (pretty fun fight for the boy because we hooked it on a Med action baitcaster). The silver lining was that it was a good day to run the boat WFO and knock some carbon off the valves.
