I have a few family members looking to go wreck fishing this weekend, Sunday or Monday or next weekend . I tried Smokin Gun (Chandler Hogg) but they are either booked or not answering emails or phone . If anybody have any recommendations it will be appreciated, would love to get into some nice togs if possible

Greg,
The only day that you are asking for I have open for offshore would be Saturday the 16th of Feb. 2008. This weekend I'm staying inshore due to the wind forcast, and I now have Sunday the 10th open due to resceduling because of a expected blow day. You never know about the weather until it gets here, so Sunday may not be that bad. We don't know till it gets here most of the time. If your interested click the Striper on my banner.

I can't speak to much about people I have never fished with or beside of, but 4 or 5 years ago I was anchored right next to KEY DREAMS at cape henry and Capt. Bill and his wife were making me feel bad at the rate they were catching big fish and I was just watching picking small ones here and there. And im a pretty good tog fisherman.

Capt. Steve Wray and his fine vessel, the Ocean Pearl, are a great charter to go out on.
He finds fish, has a great rig, and is a fine person.

We went out with him this past Saturday looking for rockfish. The bite was slow all around, but we caught a couple (on Stretch imitators), had a great time talking to Steve and his mate Larry. Best part is they had friends who caught 3 25-30 pounders that didn't want to clean them, and they came up to us at the pier and gave us the fish due to Steve!

Now THAT is someone who will get you fish one way or another!

Give him a call at 1-757- 481-7517, because I know that he was taking a charter out Super Bowl Sunday to do some wreck fishing.

Gigolot,
Thanks for the Kind words. Old Joe and a couple of others taught me a few things in the past. I even bought Old Joe's 31' Bertram when he decided to give up fishing to take care of his wife, I thought he might change his mind and I wanted to keep it availiable for him. He never changed his mind, and is now enjoying the camping scene. I needed something a little bigger with nicer accomendations for my guests, so I bought a 33 Bertram which works just fine, not too big or to small. Again Thanks for the Kind words.

I fished with On Course last weekend, had a great time and caught some fish. I would highly recommend them.
