In the next week, weather permitting, their will be 210 Reef Balls deployed on the Poquoson Reef
During the June/July time frame, their will be 84 subway cars deployed on each of the following reefs: Blackfish Bank, Parramore and the Tower Reef

That's great news! Last summer, we'd stop at Parramore Reef (buoy 10)on the way in from offshore. We'd pick up flounder, spades, triggers and seabass. Every flounder we caught was a keeper.

How far out is buoy 10? Me and my dad have fished almost exclusively in the bay up until this point. This summer we would like to take some trips further out if we can. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

10 Reef Balls were deployed at the Poquoson Reef this morning.
They weigh two tons, are 4-5 feet in height and about 6.5 feet in dia at the base. They are roughly dome shaped.

VMRC has grids of every reef site on their website that are lazer accurate. It helps make it easier to set up on them.
