Launched out of Great Bridge at about 4:30. Got out to the "hot ditch" and finally cast netted a few mullet, and a striper about 13 inches. Fished until about 9:15-9:30 then pulled up with 1 speck about 19 inches and 1 bluefish caught by Justin, about 15 inches I think. Had a few hits, but couldn't keep them on.
Justin, masterbaiter, successfully threw out and retrieved an anchor, and I still have it!!!
The ride back from the ditch, was amazing. The river was brightly lit, and like glass, only wish the Chesapeake could do that sometimes, more often than not.
Maybe another day will be better than my first voyage to the ditch.
