We worked the area of Thimble Shoals Channel Bay side and Ocean side of teh CBBT and places South. Beautiful Day to be on the bay.
Caught 10 flounder today power drifting, however we did not catch any fish that qualified for the cleaning station and came home with an empty box. Thats not a good ratio.
We had good fish in march and early April, but the last couple of weeks has been tough. Are all the big fish spawning or something at the same time and not feeding or up in the tributaries? Is there a Marine Biologist who might know what's going on with these flounder. I know it usually slows down after the spring run every year for a couple weeks, but you can usually still get a decent catch of nice flounder.
I've heard a rumor that those who can get into the shallow bays are slamming flounder big and small.
