Friday- Very rough in the morning. Decided to run North out of Solomons Island near the gas docks. Fished all day with just two knock downs.
Saturday- We got good reports to head South near the HS bouy. Five minutes after having the lines in we land a nice 41 inch, 28.8lb fish. This fish put us in 3rd for the biggest fish in our chapter. Landed five more fish at 35, 35, 33, 30, and 29. We had two more knock downs. Great day.
Sunday- Decided to try Bouy 72A and marked a lot of bait and fish but no knock downs. We then worked our we back to the eastern side and found the best marks all weekend. With no bites we decided to pull everything in to check the baits and found a 22 hanging off of a rig. Thirty minutes later we had another small fish hitching a ride on one of our rigs. Started heading North and found some birds working. Our first set had six knock downs with five fish. All fish were under 28. Our second pass had seven knock downs with five fish. We decided to leave the schoolies to find bigger fish and head North. Just as we got out of the fish we picked up a 29 and 30. The 29 had a reward tag on it so we will have to call tomorrow to get the info in and see what our reward is. Trolled all the way back and as we were pulling everything up we had another hitchhiker that was about 16 inches hanging on to a rig. Not bad but would have liked some bigger fish.
I will have a more detailed report on my new website up soon. www.impulse-fishing.com
