Last Year in late may and early june i went out to relative of mine's house who lives towards the back of rudee inlet and there is some grass around this pilling that was about twenty feet from shore and about ten feet away from his dock. i then just started messin around and started to throw a 3/8 ounce chartruese spinnerbait with two willow leaf blades on them. I then started to miss some fish and put a trailer hook and then caught a sixteen inch flounder. let him go and then caught a nineteen inch flounder at that same pilon! I fileted him and put some of his belly on the trailer hook and caught three more with in thirty minutes. What i noticed was that it was two feet then had a quick drop off to about ten to fifteen feet where the channel must have run through. I was runnin the spinner bait about a foot to two feet of the bottom. The reason i put this up here is that it is possible to catch keeper fish from the bank or a dock. If you find a drop off, or some grass, or some pilons close to a bank, there may be some quality fish there. Its always worth a shot.
