I've seen a few people land some undersized flounder inside rudee inlet. I am wondering what is the best bait or lures to use for flounder?

every one has thier fav. but generally the favored bait is a minnow and the favorite lute is a bucktail with a meat strip.i however prefer a large spot or bluefish filet on a circle hook so it flutters in the current .for lures i like a yellow bucktail(4 oz) with a 6 inch fluttering squid strip.u can use smaller ones in shallower water but i cast mine 60 yards so it needs to be heavy

I like to use live spot, about 3 to 4 inches long,or a live mullet same size, it catches bigger flounder, the gudgon and squid strip combo works well but i allways catch smaller flounder on it.They all taste great dipped in house autry and deep fried. rolleyes.gif
