Not many boats on the bar yesterday. We boated 35 flounder with only 2 keepers! With last years size regs
we would have kept at least half of em. Great weather though!

Im not sure why nobody fish's hampton bar that much. I would take the family out there to get out of the wind at times.

There are alot of crab traps on it.

Ya, that's my spot to go if it's too windy to go into the bay. Thanks for the report.

Great POST and Thanks for the MAP. Good shot of the Hamton Bar.

There are ususally a ton of boats there, just get in line with the drift. The good thing about the bar is you will at least have some steady action. Just to clarify a little more on the location, it is on the Hampton side of the channel. Your depth finder will tell you. Good luck.

I mate on the Ocean Eagle head boat out of Sunset and we fish the Hampton bar all the time. Lots of good action right now and decent size croaker are becoming more abundant. If we dont fish the bar, we will go out to Thimble shoals and fish the the 3 yellow bouys (the 3 sisters) and we have been doing really well out there too. The other day mullet (roundhead) made a good showing. Really good size mullet too! Anyways, good luck and tight lines,
