Me and a buddy went out Sun night to the HRBT and as soon as we anchored I hit 2 small blues with a mirror lure, after that they wouldnt touch anything. You could see the bastards swiming around, (some were purty big) but they wouldnt touch a thing, I tryed hard plastics, soft plastics, bucktails, and even some mullet I had brought along NOTHING. I never heard of a picky blue, any advise to get some larger blue.
We ended up moving and saw some action along the way casted out the trusty mirror lure and pulled in 6 striper only 3 were keepers.
Damn I want some of them bigger bluefish, oh also saw 2 gar out there, what do they hit, looks like alot of fun to get one of them...

Free line a little piece of squid back to them on a lite spinning rod. Loads of fun when the bite is slow while cobia fishing. Careful of their teeth though.

I've got them on a double rig bucktail, retrieved fast.
