left the boat ramp about 8 oclock, There was a heavy fog rolling in. Visibility was less than 50 foot. I made it to the highrise and Me and my buddy Chris contemplated what to do. we are lacking a gps on my boat right now but with 60 dollars in crabs and fresh bunker stupidity won over. we were confined to in and around the bridge. we fished 9 foot shoal and part of fisherman's island and went over to the fourth island with no luck only sharks and dogfish. 5 oclock came and the fog finally started to clear so we decided to try our spot on the ocean side of fishermans island. We set up just as the sun peeked over the horizon and we saw one red roll in the surf. I knew it was about to be on. Just like that a double header went off on the two poles with bunker. we landed the fish both were 44 inches 15 min later another double header i handed my pole to my buddy matt who has never landed a red so he could have a shot and it ended up being a 40 inch and chris got anoter 44 incher. We came, We battled blinding fog and we landed the red drum and went home 3 tired but happy guys. pictures to follow
