Just a quickie, I'm sure dave will give a full rundown of their fantastic week they've had down in Manteo NC. Fished with Tom, Red, George, Don, Carter and Dave today...hot hot hot.....and the smoke from the fire down there is all the way to the Tuna hole !......6 Mahi, 1 Tuna and 1 missed sailfish....Great time on Billable Ours ! First Class operation for sure.....Bob

I had the pleasure of fishing with Capt Dave, his wife Pat, Mate Don (skinnys kid), Tom (Volunteer) Red (Volunteer's Mate) and angler Carter on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday Pat headed home and Bob (Still Thinkin) joined the group. It was a great trip. The highlights included a nice bull dolphin that jumped off the gaff before making it into the fishbox and chased 4 grown adult men all the way around the fighting chair, like some sort of demented conga line, while Pat shouted instructions from the top of the bait cooler where she sought refuge from the flopping beast. I laughed until I couldn't breathe! And yes, I was one of the four highstepping around the chair. Just call me Dances with Fish.
Anyway, I had a great two days of fishing on the BillableOurs. Dave and Don are both serious fishermen and seriously entertaining. It's always great to fish with Pat, Bob is a riot, and Tom and the Volunteer crew are top notch anglers and fine people and it was a pleasure swapping tales between knockdowns all three of them. I hope to fish with them again sometime. Here's a few pics from the trip:

Bob gets a chance to do something he rarely does on Still Thinkin - relax, this is the Mahi that put us on Dancing with the Stars, double hookup - Red and Bob battle Mahi, and finally a YFT goes in the box. Thanks everyone, I had a great time!

To be able to take three other Captains out and Mates is both a blessing and a curse! Talk about pressure to do ALL the Captain stuff right, but we pulled it off OK. The greatest thrill was seeing these gents catch fish and just plain relax from the things they normally worry about during a trip! Great fun and some nice fish. More detailed posts later and will be loading up the new BillableOurs Chat Board in the VBSF Charter Section. Enjoyed a great week down south and I hope we pushed the bite up here!

Great job Capt. Dave. I was fishing with Kevin on Friday and Saturday. We were docked right beside you at Shallowbag. Glad you guys were able to get into them. Wished I had known that Bob on Still thinkin was aboard. Just purchased a 28 Southport myself. We could have shared our compliments of the boat.

What a week for sure! Good times fishing with everyone! That mahi George talked about was classic...everyone was running around the pit like elephants being chased by a mouse...funny stuff! Ready to do it again!!!
