As a note while bike riding Sunday afternoon, cut through the Fishing Center parking lot, they were cleaning some yellow fins. Looks like they had 5-8 of them, all about 25-35 pounds. The only boat that looks like they fished was the Waterman. Just a note for any Va anglers.

I talked with Mike at Fisherman's Wharf yesterday and he said they have been landing that same class of fish recently. Seems like the Cigar is the place. Several billfish seen as well. We got a tuna yesterday on our trek back fro OI on Billable Ours. Got him a little further south on the 900 along the 100 fathom curve.

I was fishing next to Mike on the Waterman Sat/Sun. They did pretty good on the tunas but I could not buy one. The fish were feed on the bottom so I guess my small boat just was not enough raise them off the bottom. The Waterman was doing a good job in raising them. Got to respect these charters, they know what they are doing and can raise fish when we weekend guys can't.

When I peddled by the Waterman they still had out 4-5 large (3-4') spreader bars. One each on the teasers it appeared and several more on rods. Everything from gay bars to green ones.

My son Matt went to the Cigar Sat on an overnighter on "Sniper" a 56' Paul Mann based in Poquoson. They wound up with 6 YFT on the troll, 1 on the chunk at night, and 1 80 lb swordfish.
Not bad at all....

Great to hear all this action this time of year! Way to go fellas!! We had hits last week in OI on bars, too...double headers at times. If we had more Tiki Bars out, we probably would have had even more on at the same time. Colors of choice were the standard blue and white and the new Brown Sugar.
