Most of the head boat Captains visit our site, but so far I haven’t been able to get one to sponsor us, so I better stay neutral. They all work hard!!
Maybe one of them will PM ya......

i have worked on some of the headboats in the area, the truth be told, its a hard call this time of year. if the trout are running in the bay, the boats at lynnhavenseafood marina would be a good bet. if the seabass have shown up at the triangle, the Bobbie Lee at the VBfishing center would put you on some fish. if the seabass have come in even closer, then i would try the Beverly B. or the Nancy Ann at lynnhaven Seafood $ Fishing Center. call around and find out what kind of fishishing trips they offer and what the catch has been like lately. There maybe something better, but Capt. Farly and Capt. Seldon are probably the best bet this time of year, due to the commitment they have to the locals that fish with them every spring.

tog can be tricky, even to some of us old salts, its a long ride out, but the action should be good. on the other hand, flounder can testy in cold water, but take less skill to catch. your son would probably have more fun with the flounder.

I have gone out twice this year with lynnhaven. The first trip was an better than could have ever been expected with non-stop tautog and sea bass action on the wrecks. Went out again this Sunday because I was just dying to fish. Rough waters made it difficult but we still landed a few fish. Tautog are tricky but the seabass action is really picking up and they are much easier to catch. The flounder action is still very slow and most are not of size yet anyway. (just my personal opinion though)
