A group of us ran out to the Hotdog with Keith and Danny on Megabite. We started quick with a chicken on the flatline before Danny could get out two lines. The day slowed for a while with an occasional chicken to wake us up. We finally hooked up with a Tuna and Dale worked hard on a stand up rig. Danny does a great job on the leader and we boated a 42" at 11;30 or so. We trolled by a lone crab buoy an got covered up by chicken Dolphin. The excitement woke up the three in the salon for a Chinese fire drill. At the end of the day with10 min left before we pull lines the long rigger goes off!!. i could not watch on of my guests reel in my Bluefin and spend another year waiting and wishing, so I called the rod. It was a good call. The fish fought hard with alot of give and take. Keith and Danny did a great job working the boat and pit. Finally Danny gets the leader and we get two gaffs in a 48" Bluefin. A thirty year dream come true for a former mate who had only been able to gaff them and clean them. The final total was 2 Tuna an 6 dolphin and 6 happy happy guys with alot of meat!!!!

Great report thanks. If you can only catch 2 BFT, those are the right 2 with the regs being the way they are. Nice job out there team megabite. I was going today but slipping it to Saturday now.

We were out there and ended up with one BFT about 50#'s. Had numerous technical difficulties(non on my tackle) but neded 1/6 on the BFT's. martin
