Going out wed night and was wondering if anyone has been catching striper at the HRBT. If so, what were ya using and where?

I've been going out 1/2 hour prior to sunset and fishing first and second island, chucking small storms, bunker color at the tubes. anchoring in about 10 feet of water. I also like using red and white rattletrap. great bait. I got rid of the trebbles and bent back the barbs on the 5.0's so i don't mess up the fish.

Got over 30 the other night. All small guys, but who cares.

I also fish the south end of the first island on the ocean side and toss the stroms right at the rocks and let them sink down a few feet. Saw a large school of what i thought were blues there too. -Actually I know they were blues by the way they mashed up the stroms.

so you are fishing the CBBT right? not the Hampton Roads

Actually i am going to the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. When we do get around to going to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, then I will ask where everyones favorite fishing spots are at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and not the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. But thanks for looking out.

went yesterday afternoon to the first island for about an hour caught two scoolies on a strorm lure. little windy but fun any way.

Any Trout out at the CBBT yet, Or big Stripper

NO FISH AT HRBT GO TO CBBT!

myslef and my 4 year old went out last night for about 1 hour or so and he got his first stripper in the boat but that was at the 1st island thats where i have been running them all week nothing over 32 though all small ones...

Man, I have heard of dads getting strippers for their sons before but don't you think 4 years old is a little early?

not really i hold the pole and he cranks it in.....thats if he does not give up on me LOL...just something for me and the wife to do and my son loves it.... but that is why we stay in close

Went out today about 2PM or so ran to first island again with family caught 1 small blue and about 12 strippers in about 1 1/2 hours or so biggest was about 26 inches good day on t0he east side of the 1st island....
