Being in the military, attached to a Hornet squadron @ NAS Oceana and due to deploy later this year, needless to say my time is at a premium! At any rate I finally got my rig back into the water for the first time in months! I took a couple of buddies out w/ me this morning for a smokey ride out to the CBBT for Flounder, or anything else that wanted to tug on the line. We roll up on the first and get lines in. My buddy Matt has not been fishing in quite some time, so we got him into a nice spinning outfit last night in prep for today. Any way my buddy Steve snags a nice little flounder (throwback) pretty quick no sooner than the flattie hits the water to fight another day Matt's reel starts to go off! and his line is headed south in a hurry!A little pursuit w/ my boat and Matt proceeds to haul (after about 40 min's) a 56lb. Black Drum to the side of the boat! He expertly fought the cow on fairly lightr gear (15lb. mono)! He was spent and excited saying it was the biggest he's tackled ever (freshwater guy). Soon after the weather started to swing and we called it fairly early. He was talking about it the whole way home-LOL ...way to go Matt!  Pics to follow
