Hey i was wondering if me making my own chum will have any effects on my fishing, went out and chaught around 700 small bunker and ground them up it looks the same as the stuff i buy u think it will help bring in fish because its 100 pecent bunker or does it not matter ? I made this for cobia which i still have yet to find this year

before you frezze it add some of that menhadden milk to add to the slick and a few bluefish if you can get them

i added some of the oil not the milk i usaly have a top drip when i chum any ways would the oil or milk work better ? and thanks for the imformation next time ill throw some blues in there

I do both I like any of the oily fish for chum and chunk baits

Fresh is always the best! Buy or make a chum tube and ground your own on the spot with those fresh bait. There is nothing better than seeing scales or flakes down your chum line... you wont get that with prefab stuff. If you're off the beach chumming for cobes be ready for a King to come looking at your offerings now.

Heres a trick i learned.. Add a little of instant mashed potatoes. It thickens the mix to last longer and the oil modules stick to it so they dispurse in the water slower.

where did you catch all that bunker. thats sounds like alot of great chum

i dont think ill find any kinda im chuming inside the bay. do they come in there ?
I put some oat meal in mine to hold it together a little better but ill use your trick next time thanks for that.

the menhadden were outside of lyhnhaven to today on the way out. They did`t go with what we were after so let them swim for anthor day
