My crew and I made our way to the hill on friday from taylor's at 4 am, slow in rough water, lines in at 6:30, 15 min. nice mahi, one of 6 for day....no other boats in area, we kept working around 8:30 a bluefin takes squid daisychain on port flat line, we had one seasick angler on board and he was up....he made pretty work of this 63 lbr. in 10 min, nice job, but he never fully recovered but was happy to be there....about 9:30 I noticed water spraying on a wwb. at 250 yds. took rod down to check and sure enough fish on, nice king mack. worked area to 11 made our way to nearby wreck and deeper water....marked lots of bait and some big marks deep but no more bites...we earlier lost our planer and had no deep running baits....water smoothed out in afternoon, had a nice ride home with a happy crew.....great job guys....
Great work John!
