The usual group that I fish with all had stuff planned so I hit the phone looking at numbers and got a good my friend phillip and ryan (drawinout) aboard. Well after a minor setback in the morning by me , wife swears she set the alarm clock but owell still only pulling out 20 min later than planned. Looked outside wasn`t to shore but looked at weather and was still wondering but decided to poke the nose out and it was a good thing. Started on the ocean side of the forth and got nada but the tide started to slack and we pulled anchor cruised out to the chanel and started back up the rip line happen to find some spades hanging out in 60ft of water hooked one up the decided to get back on the hook . Pulled a few more then the tide picked up and was makeing it hard to fish so pulled up . Cruiseing up the rip worked the first time we did it again got to tip of the island and it was like a fish tank between black drum and spades so get set up and it was fish on from there started pulling in spades and I was trying for blacks with a grub with no love soon as I switched to clam bam fish on not huge but nice all n all I thinck the final tall was between 7 blacks and close to 15 spades . At one time it seemed like the whole bottom just rose up just lots of fish blacks were 10-15lbs and spades went 4-litttle throw backs. We ran out of bait by 1230 and headed in got to the 3rd right next to a trash/weed line there were thousands upon thousands of rays of all sizes but most were small I meen I have never seen that many in one year in the bay let alone one time the school was about 100rds thick and went from the 3rd to half way to the 2nd ( no bs ) I don`t know if thats a bad thing for the eco of the bay but im sure they will eat hearty. Well all n all I have to say it was a real good day of catchn with good people.
