Made the trip out to the CLT Saturday morning in search of spades, there were none. A few boats there trying for them but did not see any caught. Motored over to the tower reef to try our luck there but my wreck anchor could not hold due to the 2-3 footers and wind. I grabbed onto several pieces but with my size boat, just pulled the hooks straight. Either need a more stout anchor or just pick a calmer day. Really disappointing as my fish finder was lit up with fish over each piece of wreck. Two head boats there seemed to be doing well.

Set up in the afternoon for black drum on the IMG. There was a fleet at buoy 13 so we tried it solo at the IMG in 11 foot of water. Water layed down nicely and it was a beautiful afternoon. No drum but we did get 8 skates.....oh well, it's pullage right. I don't see how they can get a whole sea clam in their tiny mouth but they did . Winds picked up around 7 pm so we headed in drumless.

Went out for only an hour on Sunday around the HRBT in search of flatties but only managed several shorties.

Am going out tonight (16 May) to the HRBT for opening night of the spring striper season. High tide is around 4 pm so around sunset should be the last of the outgoing.
