Dare Marina/PSWSFA Open Flounder Tournament
Some very impressive stringers of flatfish were brought into the Dare Marina/PSWSFA Open Flounder Tournament.
The team of Capt. Jorj Head, Matt Rink, Allen Williams, and Carlin Thomas walked away with all of the first place honors. Their 4-fish stringer weighed-in at an impressive 27.39 pounds. Carlin caught their largest fish, 8.5 pounds, which won the Big Fish Calcutta. They were sponsored by Grafton Fishing Supply which is now where you can view the coveted Sponsors Trophy for the next year. Capt. Head has been a dominate force in flounder tournaments this year. In addition to this win, he won the Poquoson Flats and Furious Tournament and he came in second during the Mathews Boys and Girls Club Tournament.
Second Place went to Derick Hall with a 21.95 pound stringer.
Third Place was a 20.82 pound stringer brought in by the team of Brian Hogge, Richie Lee, and Al Lawson.
The Fourth Place team was Ronald Key, Steve Riss, and Kenny Mitchell. Their stringer weighed 20.67 pounds.
Rounding out the prize winners were the team of Scott Davenport, Steven Robidax, and Mark McLean with an 18.16 pound 4-fish stringer of flounder.
