Well....Oregon Inlet boys are starting to get some nice YFT catches and some big-eyes mixed in. Starting to see some interesting stuff happening with the Gulf Stream with a couple of eddy's forming and fingers pushing in....finally getting some east/Northeast winds into the mix which is going to push some good water into the grounds. I think we're going to start seeing some Tuna Action off VB SOON. I would love to be out there fishing this weekend but can't due to committments, but labor day weekend, if the weather gods smile Still Think'n will be out there prowling the Tuna Grounds....Hoping for a great September - November with some nice Meat fish action.

The freezer is full of Mahi....The Tuna is running low.....The time is coming, oh yes, it's coming.....bob

147 and a 136 pound Big Eye tuna weighed in today....nice fish !.......Bob

heard of the bib eye bite today! it was a little eqast of us. but may try tomorrow!

my thoughts are that its not so much of a water temp change but the east wind slows down the stream and stack the bait in locations of structure where the tuna come to feed. 2 cents. Ill be out of OI Sunday on Reel Fancy.

oh and they are filled with squid so they are really dumb and gorging themselves, not like when they are hitting flyers. Just run over them but that bite wont last to long in the middle of august. But that is a good sign of things to come. Im pumped.
