Someone has decided it is better for them to use my 6 fishing rods, three of which are my kids, and my tackle box with all of my speckle trout grubs, Kalin Blue Pearl Salt & Peppers. Don't leave anything on your pier or in your boat. Nothing is sacred anymore. there are lowlifes back in the King's Grant area just itching to steal your stuff.

sorry to hear about your gear but................... in this day and time ALWAYS take your stuff out of your boat.
Honey Hole
Sorry to hear it... heck, the punks tried to steal my john boat TWICE... now it's chained and locked to the pier.

I grew up in kings grant and my mother still lives in the neighborhood. Where abouts where the rods stolen from? In the lakes or the little boat ramp back in there?
beachpaws
Up the same cove as the ramp, left hand side on Bray Rd. Floating dock made it easy for them.

Im back in the same area (Ingram Rd.) and my neighbor had his outboard motor stolen right off the back of his boat last year. I saw a jon boat with no lights motoring around my dock and I slammed the door and they booked it.

U should set up a camera and when they come give it to the po po or set up a lawn chair on ur doc facing away from where they were and set a stuffed person and sit'em in it and in the dark they would think its u and prob never come back

belive it or not but rock salt hurts like sob cause not only did you get shot with it but the salt burns in the wound
chefish
How about a compromise 50/50 buck shot AND rock salt??? The best of both worlds.

There are a couple of yakkers that have almost been run over by a boat in Lynnhaven on different nights running with no lights. I can't remember if it was a jon boat or not, but a spot light and camera would also help as it is illeagal to run without lights at night and you might even be able to get the cops to help in getting them off the streets, so to speak.
beachpaws
I'm hoping they hook themselves in the eye with my gear. Kids.

That really sucks. Hopefully they will get what they deserve one day. angry.gif

Use your fish bat on them, followed by a gaff in the shoulder. It's good practice and will make you feel better!

While I'm not an attorney, I'm reasonably sure that gaffing kayakers is illegal. I believe it is legal for jet skiers though.... laugh.gif
