Well, I am happy to say that I can finally make a post to provide information rather than receive. This is a first for me. I got to the HRBT at about 1pm and it was a little rougher than I expected. I tucked behind the rocks on the Norfolk and James River side to stay out of the wind and chop. I tried a few different plugs/lures off the rocks but finally pulled in two 20" stripers using a 1/2 oz Bucktail Jig with a 4 inch Salt Water Assasin silver / chartreuse sea shad. These were my first stripers caught since moving here 1.5 yrs ago. I am looking forward to the next trip and hopefully another post. Good luck. biggrin.gif

Nice report try a wind cheater first thin in the morning around the rocks and see what happens. You have to be out there early to get the bite as it will shut off once the sun starts to get up there.

Nice job, if this colder than normal weather continues, youll be catchin' stripers twice that size very shortly.

Thanks for the report.

Caught my first one a few years back in about the same spot and in about the same weather. Been chasin them darn critters ever since.

Wait until you figure out how to pull a umbrella rig in the 20'-30' column this winter and your shallow water alert goes off on your depth finder when you know you are in at least 60' of water.

Nothing but fun and a constant source of entertainment followed by a damn good fish fry. biggrin.gif
