Yesterday, we departed Little Creek around sun-up and headed for the CBBT Islands for some light tackle - Top Water action. It's been windy and rough over the last week and Team Reeltime's main goal was to do some Fall Scouting and have fun. Our guest angler was Mr. Don Anderson of Va Beach. Don is a long time friend and enjoys a variety of water sports, including fishing and surfing (long board, I think).

The water was dirty around the 1st Island, so we headed north and picked up on the bite around structure on a variety of soft and hard baits. The bite peaked on the back side of the tide in 40 feet of water, throughout the water column:

All and all it was a fun morning out and I stopped counting after 30 catch and release and 6 nice keepers for table fair. 4 or 5 were above the slot size (18-28), but less than 34. They gave nice pulleage and we released them healthly back to the bay to grow larger and for another day!

Good Luck, Tight Lines and See You on the Water,

Captain Fletcher Dunton USCG OUPV

PS - Call Fletcher at 757-292-7702 today and reserve your slot for the big fish that are on they way!
