I was just sitting here sifting through some pics from fishing over the Thanks giving holiday weekend and noticed something odd. I had alot more trouble catching the little guys than the bigger guys. It seemed that we would get our 34+ pretty quick on eels and then have to work alot to catch a little one. I don't think I have really gotten into a mess of schoolies this season. I have primarily been out eeling around the 3rd and at the highrise. While eeling though I would cast storms or some topwater jigs to pass time. I have had to put a few 34+ back in the water because we already had the boat max. Just thought I would put that one out there for you guys. I am headed out wednesday to give trolling a try so we will see what happens.

drop us a report on the trolling. I was successful Friday at Plantation light and put one 36.5 on the boat. Couldnt get anythign to bite on the troll Saturday. The biggest problem I saw was the bait was scattered all over the place. The bait balls were small and thin near the top of the water. I suspect this weekend to next weekend to see the bait coming together in larger balls. Last year on the 9th, we put 4 over 38 in the boat in 45 minutes trolling at 36A, once we found the right bait ball. Just not a lot of bait out there right now........but its coming, as are the fish.

I will deffinately put report up. I just dusted off the stretches and even the umbrella rig. I have some new big mojo's that I would like to try but think I will wait until the ocean opens.
