Hey Guys,

Dad and I are planning on fishing this weekend. This is our first trip down for the striper season. Just wondering if anyone could give some info on where the fish are being caught. We will either be coming out of Winter Harbor or trailering to Locklies in the Rappahanock. Any info would be greatly appreciated. See you guys on the water.

I did hear of a good bite in Urbanna @ buoy 8. Small to upper 20's I think. If you come to the mouth of the Rapp, they have been doing right good right there at Cherry Point at Gwyss's Island.All sizes from 23" - 42". A friend went out yesterday 2 miles out of Broad creek & pulled in a 36" & 37" & was back within an hour. Last th. & fri., we went north to 62 & another friend caught a 40 pounder & did good w/ other big fish caught, we caught 3 nice fish up there also. our biggest being 37" & smallest being 34.5". I just got a call & some friends are at 62 now & caught a 23" & lost about a 27" at the boat. the fish have been scattered up north, 1 here & there, but more of a frenzy & with birds around cherry point in the afternoon.

Thanks I appreciate the info. I just heard from a buddy who said he has caught nothing under 37" for the last 2 days around the Cell area. Sounds like we'll be hunting for them between the Cell and the Rapp. Good fishing to you and thanks for the info.
