Fished with my uncle P, Bob from Delaware and Greyfox from the forum we cleared the inlet at 6.30 am to tight 3 foot seas and ran south east to the point to find 63 degree water and tight 4 foot seas. The Sat shot was totally broken up due to cloud cover so we headed south and finally found some 71 degree water east of the 1250 rocks at 1.30pm second drop in 900 feet of water with the 7.5oz pink abyss comes tight for Bob and Grey gaffs a nice 35lb YFT. This is our only fish of the day. Did see tuna busting totally out of the water in this warmer water but if you moved more than 1/2 a mile it was back to cold green water so it must have been just a small eddy. Only seen three more boats all day wrapped it up at 3.30 and headed for Wanchese 54 miles away in choppy seas. FYI the inlet work has been completed for the most part once you clear the bridge its a straight shot to the sea buoy in 16 to 24 feet of water a welcome change from the past two months.Conch

Great report. I'm starting to get jiggy with it myself and have a small basic load ready. I was ready to jig something Sunday but never saw any fish marks to jig up.
