The Viginia Beach Anglers Club will be hosting the 9th annual Cobia Tournament June 25 at Long Bay Pointe.The entry fee is$75.00 per boat. There will be a Capts. meeting/registration Fri.night June 24 from 6:30-8:00pm at Long Bay Pointe.


Lines-in 6:00am Weigh-in 3:00-5:00 pm

1st place:$1500.00 2nd place:$750.00

3rd place:$375.00 4th place:$185.00

Some cobia need to show up first or you are just wasting time and money with the water temps I would have to say there will be none then. They have only caught a handful in NC way off shore.

Its 66 deg now,The SST looks alot better warm water is getting closer by the day I think they will be fine.I have caught Cobia in 68 Deg water.2 degrees in 20 days isnt that hard to do.

I was reading 68, and even 68.5 all evening around HRBT Sat night. --I think it's warming up faster than expected.

A 50# Cobia was caught Sunday at the Point in 69 deg water.The weather looks good this whole week.When fish delay their migration who knows they could be here by this week.I am going to set up for them Wedensday.

so who is all fishing this tournament.
